- SMS Messaging Policy -

At Alma Integrated Health, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the information you share. When you opt-in to our SMS messaging service, you agree to the following terms regarding how we handle your data (opt-in data will not be shared with third parties):
Data Collection: We will collect your name and mobile phone number when you sign up for SMS updates. The information will be collected via the website contact form.
Data Security: We protect your data with secure storage measures to prevent unauthorized access.
Data Retention: We retain your information as long as you are subscribed to our SMS service. You may request deletion at any time.

Data Usage: We use your data solely for scheduling, appointment reminders, and customer support.

MESSAGE AND DATA RATES MAY APPLY. Your mobile carrier may charge fees for sending or receiving text messages, especially if you do not have an unlimited texting or data plan. Messages are recurring, and message frequency varies

Opt-Out: You can opt out of the SMS list at any time by texting, emailing, or replying STOP or CANCEL to info@almahealth-care.com or (202) 818-8656. After unsubscribing, you will receive a final SMS to confirm you have unsubscribed and we will remove your number from our list within 24 hours.

You can send HELP for additional assistance, and you will receive a text including our Phone number, email, and website. We are here to help you.

Non-Sharing Clause: We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. Alma Integrated Health will not sell, rent, or share the collected mobile numbers

- Confidentiality -
​
Confidentiality is of the utmost importance to us at Alma Integrated Health. You can share personal information with your clinician in confidence, knowing that we are bound by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and relevant state and local laws to protect your privacy and handle your protected health information (PHI) responsibly. Alma Integrated Health is a "covered entity" under HIPAA, meaning that we follow HIPAA privacy rules. In general, we can use your PHI for three purposes: treatment, payment, and healthcare operations. As a HIPAA covered entity, Alma Integrated Health keeps all of your PHI, including any communication with your clinician, strictly confidential. However, there are exceptions to this rule, including situations where we are required by law to disclose information. Some examples of these exceptions include:

You express an intention to harm yourself or someone else;

There is reasonable suspicion of abuse or neglect of a minor, elderly person, or dependent adult;

Alma Integrated Health has a team of highly qualified, licensed clinicians. Your clinician may share certain information within sessions with other members of the Client Unit participating in treatment, at their clinical discretion. However, this does not include the release of medical records to any member of the Client Unit or any protected health information (PHI) to a third party without separate written authorization from every member. We are required to keep accurate records of the healthcare services we provide to you, which are stored in a secure electronic health record system. Unless there are exceptional circumstances involving danger to yourself, you have the right to a copy of your health records with proper authorization. Electronic communication methods, including telephone (including text), email, and videoconference, are not encrypted and do carry some risk to confidentiality. Our team may use these methods to communicate with you. While we do our best to verify your email address, phone number, and address at the time of intake, it is your responsibility to let us know if you would like to communicate through a different means or if your contact information has changed. If you prefer not to be contacted by email and/or text, or need to update your information, you can contact us at info@almahealth-care.com or (202) 818-8656. If you and your clinician are participating in telehealth psychiatric sessions , your clinician will adhere to the laws and ethical codes of their state of licensure.

We will not retaliate against you for exercising your rights, asking for access to your records, or filing complaints about privacy issues.
If there's a 3-month gap from your last psychiatry session or a 30-day gap from your last therapy session, we'll assume you've ended your clinician relationship unless otherwise informed. If you become inactive, Alma Integrated Health may contact you for feedback or other reasons.
